Our Sombrero Pasta is a sweet and spicy Mexican-inspired salad. Add in ground beef and extra cheese, and you have a hearty entree everyone will love. Make it extra special by topping it off with sour cream, salsa and crushed corn chips. 

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 lb.) container Mrs. Gerry's Sombrero Pasta Salad
  • 2 lbs. ground beef, browned, crumbled and drained
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 oz. shredded Cheddar Jack cheese
  • Sour cream, salsa and crushed corn chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef with salt; drain off grease. 
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, and heat over medium low heat to 165° to 180°F, stirring often to prevent sticking. 
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spoon hot mixture into lightly greased 4-inch deep half pan. Spread with Cheddar Jack cheese.
  4. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  5. Serve immediately with sour cream, salsa and crushed corn chips, sprinkled on top.

Freshly grilled chicken wrapped in a fresh vegetable and cabbage mixture that has been tossed in our sweet oriental-flavored dressing. Ramen noodles an an extra crunch!

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) container Mrs. Gerry’s Oriental Crunch dressing
  • 1 (8 oz.) pouch Mrs. Gerry’s Ramen/Nut mixture
  • 3 lbs. pre-packaged salad mix that includes shredded cabbage, carrots, green onions, celery, etc.
  • 2 grilled chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 4 whole wheat wraps or large tortillas
  • Leaf lettuce
  • Snow pea pods

Instructions

  1. Combine Oriental Crunch dressing, ramen/nut mixture and prepackaged salad mix.
  2. Arrange lettuce leaves and snow pea pods on each wrap.
  3. Layer with 1 cup Mrs. Gerry’s Oriental Crunch Salad and top with chicken breast strips.
  4. Keep chilled at 33° to 39°F until served.

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 lb.) container Mrs. Gerry’s Thai Couscous Salad
  • 1 lb. (4 cups) diced, cooked chicken*
  • 6 oz. (2/3 cup) creamy peanut butter
  • 3 heads of butter lettuce or endive, cleaned and separated into leaves
  • 4 oz. (1 cup) chopped, lightly salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Place peanut butter in microwavable bowl; cover. Gently heat until it is slightly warm and pourable.
  2. Stir peanut butter into Thai Couscous Salad. Add the cooked chicken and stir to combine.
  3. Scoop ½ cup of mixture into each lettuce leaf. Garnish with chopped peanuts. Keep chilled at 33° to 39°F until served.

    *For a vegetarian option, omit chicken.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Mrs. Gerry’s Cowboy Caviar Salad, drained
  • 3 tbsp. Mrs. Gerry’s Southwestern Dip
  • 1 (9 inch) flour tortilla or plain wrap
  • 2 oz. grilled chicken breast fajita strips
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • ¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Spread Southwestern Dip evenly on wrap to within ½ inch of edge.
  2. Top with drained Cowboy Caviar, chicken strips, lettuce and cheese.
  3. Keep chilled at 33° to 39°F until served.

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat bread, or bread of choice
  • Pork tenderloin, sliced
  • Mrs. Gerry's Premium Mashed Potatoes
  • Mrs. Gerry's Premium Poultry Gravy

Instructions

  1.  Heat pork, mashed potatoes and gravy to 165° to 180°F. 
  2. Top bread with pork and mashed potatoes.
  3. Ladle on gravy.
  4. Serve immediately.

Ingredients

  • 1 (4.5 lb.) container Mrs. Gerry's Cheese Tortellini Salad, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 6 oz. pouch Mrs. Gerry's shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine salad and Alfredo sauce. 
  2. Heat until mixture reaches 165° to 180°F, stirring frequently.
  3. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
  4. Serve immediately.

Taco seasoning spices up this simple recipe made with rice, chicken and our Harvest Corn Salad. Top with Cheddar cheese and serve with sour cream, salsa and tortilla chips. 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Mrs. Gerry's Harvest Corn, drained

  • 3 cups cooked rice

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1.25 oz. package dry taco seasoning mix

  • 6 oz. cooked, oven roasted chicken

  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

  • Tortilla chips, sour cream and salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large, non-stick skillet, combine water and taco seasoning mix. Bring to a boil; stir in drained salad, rice, and chicken.

  2. Heat to 165° to 180°F, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  3. Sprinkle with cheese and cover pan.

  4. Reduce heat and continue heating until cheese melts.

  5. Serve immediately. If desired, top with sour cream and salsa, and serve with tortilla chips.

Spaghetti edamame, sliced green onion, shredded carrots, water chestnuts, diced red pepper, and sesame seeds are combined in a honey and ginger-flavored vinaigrette dressing. Add in peanut butter and cooked chicken to make this delicious salad a meal! Garnish with peanuts, cilantro and lime. 

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. Mrs. Gerry's Honey Ginger Pasta
  • 4 oz. (1/2 cup) creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 lb. (4 cups) roasted, salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed, coarsely chopped cilantro
  • 1 fresh lime, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, gently heat peanut butter until melted.
  2. Add pasta and cooked chicken; stir to combine. Heat to 165° to 180°F, stirring frequently. 
  3. Serve immediately or maintain at temperature. 
  4. Garnish with peanuts, cilantro and lime slices.
